Where is Tukka located?
The restaurant is located in the heart of West End in Boundary Street, 10 min away from the city going across the William Jolly Bridge. Once on Boundary Street, we are opposite the junction with Russell Street and opposite the Suncorp Metway Bank.
Does the restaurant have a parking facility?
No, but you can find ample parking in Jane Street, Russell Street and O’Connell Street adjacent to Boundary Street.
What type of cuisine do you serve?
The restaurant specialises in “Advanced Australian Fare” and aims to use the best produce available in our bountiful country, including an extensive range of native meats, herbs, spices and berries. A gourmet use of what is commonly known as “bush tucker”.
Do you serve kangaroo meat?
We incorporate Queensland and New South Wales kangaroo meat on our menus (which is wild harvested) but on occasions we might have wallaby on the menu or on the specials, too.
Do you serve crocodile?
Yes. Crocodile is always on the menu and is sourced from the well known Cairns crocodile farm. They are saltwater crocodiles and are raised on chickens.
Are you licensed?
Yes, the restaurant is fully licensed and offers a full selection of Australian wines as well as an Australian selection of boutique beers. BYO is not allowed.
What are your average prices?
Currently, the prices for entrees are $18.9, $29.6 for mains and $14.6 for desserts.
Do you cater for groups?
Yes, we offer several packages for larger bookings and several degustations for an experience that is second to none. Contact us and we will try to suit your request to the best of our abilities.
What is a degustation menu?
This is a multiple-course menu usually with glasses of wine matched to each course. The courses are slightly smaller serves than the à la carte menu. Usually allow 2 to 3 hours to really appreciate a degustation menu. Some people perceive 5 or 8 courses as being too filling for them, but the idea is not to consume quantity, it is to appreciate the flavours and the experience. Ideally you will leave extremely satisfied, but not too full.
Where can I purchase “bush tucker”, native ingredients?
We do offer an extensive range of retail products and will do our best to supply you with most products or forward you to an appropriate retailer.
Do you serve “normal” food?
All our food is normal and predominantly Australian. We are using traditional French methods and techniques on modern Australian native ingredients. However for the less adventurous of our guests we have daily fresh fish, eye fillet and other more common produce.
Do you provide kids meal?
We do not offer any processed product, but will happily prepare smaller portions for our younger guests from the menu selection. We do believe that food education starts at the earliest age and do aim to excite younger people with a true taste of Australia.
When are you open?
The restaurant is open 7 nights a week from 6pm. The restaurant is also available for hire outside normal trading hours. Contact us for more details.

We do not offer witjuti grubs but can source them for you and provide you with information on how to use them.
