Conditions for function bookings

Tukka Restaurant offers a wide range of choices to make sure your event is a memorable one. We ask that you read the following conditions and confirm your understanding by making the deposit to hold your booking. Thank you for your understanding.

General function bookings:

  • In order to confirm a booking for groups we do require a deposit to hold the booking.  The deposit is $20 per guest and is refundable until three days before the booking date.  After this point the deposit is non-refundable. The deposit is to prevent numbers being changed on or near the booked date (a reduction in numbers within two days of the booking date will result in a deposit forfeit of $20 per person – this will be added to your bill). In order to guarantee your booking we must receive your confirmation and deposit at least 3 days before your function. This deposit can be paid in cash or you can provide us with a credit card number to hold the booking.
  • Beverage packages are priced based on a “reasonable consumption” and we reserve the right to deny any intoxicated guests from further alcoholic beverages in accordance with RSA laws.
  • Beverage packages must be purchased for the whole table, not for a select number of guests. An exception can be made for children under the legal drinking age.
  • All menus, prices and conditions are current at the time of publication and are subject to change without notice.

Conditions of private hire:

  • Private hire is not available on bank holidays or special events, unless otherwise arranged.
  • The ability to hire the restaurant is dependent on their being no pre-existing bookings for that time. It is recommended you book well in advance to avoid disappointment.
  • A deposit of 20% of the cost of the private hire is required to make any private hire bookings (this is non-refundable).
  • Five days before the event the balance for the cost of the private hire must be paid in full (this is non-refundable).
  • If your total spending on food and alcohol is more than the minimum hire charge, the balance of this spending is to be paid at the end of the event.
  • A discretionary service fee of 5% will be added to your bill in acknowledgement of your service for the event.
  • You will have use of the restaurant from 11:30am – 4:00pm for a daytime function, and from 5:30pm until midnight for a nighttime function.
